First Up: The Amazon Diesel Mini-Bike
To kick things off, we’re auctioning a bike that perfectly embodies the spirit of creativity and fun that defines the custom world: the one-of-a-kind diesel-powered mini-bike built by our very own Bike EXIF crew.
The genesis of this gloriously unholy machine can be traced back to a ‘Whiskey Wednesday’ and the discovery of a small, air-cooled diesel engine on Amazon. Displacing 196 cc, this industrial powerhouse is rated at a blistering 3 hp and a stump-pulling 35 Nm of torque.
The donor machine was a homely 1970s Sears-Allstate Roper mini-bike, sourced from the depths of Facebook Marketplace. The project then became a masterclass in resourceful fabrication, rife with the kind of creative problem-solving that defines shed-built customs.
The bike is a rolling testament to scrap-bin engineering, featuring a custom upswept exhaust, a center stand repurposed from our Honda CB550 project, and a custom-fabricated aluminum fuel tank.
